16 days to go to the Manchester Bike Show at EventCity
The 7th running of the largest motorcycle show in the north is now just over 2 weeks away and things are really ramping up here in the office after a challenging February. We moved home for the first time in almost 20 years on 16th February and I had no idea we had accumulated so much needless stuff. That put us behind a little and was quickly followed by the snow and although is no news to us here up in the hills around Holmfirth it was really exceptional this year, so the office was closed for 3 days.
All of a sudden it was March and just a few weeks to go to the event. We are happy to welcome back Williams BMW into the fold for the first time since 2013 thereby completing our full complement of major manufacturers. Other trade stand holders continue to book in with over 100 individual companies due to appear at the event. As usual the smaller traders are bringing up the rear but we have had lots of bookings so far this week. The club stands have all now been allocated and the unloading passes are on the way in time for build-up day. A full exhibitor list is now available on www.manchesterbikeshow.com
The stage and entertainment is taking shape with The Rockyn Rorys due to appear on stage for four half hour sets each day interspersed with 3 x stunt shows from Steve Colley. The advert for the big screen at the Trafford Centre has been sent, the radio advert on Real XS has been approved for transmission starting on Monday next week. The local newspaper adverts in the MEN group have been designed and Sharon at The Biker Guide has been busy working away on Facebook on our behalf.
We have now sorted out the issues with the show website crashing and advanced ticket sales are going extremely well, certainly well ahead of last year at the same stage. All is looking good at this stage, more news next week…
