Well hasn’t the year gone quickly? It is now just over two months to doors opening on the 2019 Manchester Bike Show and things are shaping up really nicely.
Last year we had 552 individual motorcycles booked in on the club stands and with the bookings from the last couple of days from Veterans Garage and Moto Guzzi UK we have exactly the same number booked in for 2019 with just two stands remaining unallocated. If you are thinking of booking your club in you need to get your skates on as we anticipate that all the club stands will be gone by the end of the week. For a full list of clubs already attending please view the exhibitors list. We do of course have lots of interesting clubs attending but the Veterans Garage is worth a mention as it is a place on Barton Aerodrome, just over the M60, from the venue where former service personnel can go and work together on building motorcycles as well as socialising with other veterans. A very worthwhile cause that deserves support from us all.
We have around 25 private individual entries booked in so far and normally get to around the 50 marks.
This year we have gone back to using an outside agency to handle advanced ticket sales, which can be purchased either over the telephone during normal office house or via the internet 24/7. So far advance ticket sales are running 25% higher than on the corresponding date last year so things are looking good for a bumper public attendance.
Trade stands are also selling particularly well with some of the zones almost full. The really gratifying thing about running this show is when companies come for the first time then go on to book a much larger stand the following year. This has happened lots so far this year and a full list of companies who have booked so far is available on the show website along with an up to date floorplan (see page five of the exhibitor pack) showing which stands are still available.
